Criminal/Investigation Record Check Issuance

Important Notice

The Korean National Police Agency(KNPA) does not issue Criminal/Investigation Record Check at the request of identification. The KNPA will only issue Criminal/Investigation Record Check for immigration purposes such as for visa, permanent residence/citizenship. Person who use Criminal/Investigation Record Check for the other purposes could be sentenced to imprisonment of up to two years or a fine of up to 20 million won in accordance with the Clause 2 and 3 or Article 10 of "ACT ON THE LAPSE OF CRIMINAL SENTENCES"

Applicants

  • Korean nationals living abroad
  • Foreign nationals who lived in Korea in the past.
    1. Korean nationals as well as foreigners who currently live in Korea can request this service through local police stations.(tel: +82-2-3150-1960~1)
  • Before your visit(or fill in the form), you should know:
    1. Your current address (or the address you lived at) in Korea,
    2. Your Alien Registration Number and bring a copy (or proof document) of Alien Registration card.

Required Documents

  • Applicant must visit the Korean Embassy for apply for CIRCC(Criminal/Investigation Record Check Certificate) Issuance.
    1. Please, use a printer to scan-copy your documents/IDs clearly.
    2. If you don't have printer, go to CopyPro.
    1. Application form (at Attached file)
    2. Color photo in 6 months (3x4㎝)
    3. Scanned Copy of your Current Passport
    4. Scanned Copy of THE Passport which you got Korean visa in the past (if you have a different/new passport now)
    5. Copy of Alien Registration Card OR Scanned Copy of Alien Registration Certification

      Without the Alien Registration Number, you cannot apply for CRICC.

    N.B. Documents applicant presented to Korean Embassy in Lithuania are not allowed to return.

Procedure

  • You MUST submit an application in person. We do not accept applications by post.

    Reservations are required by ONLINE - 365 Overseas Korean Portal (www.g4k.go.kr/en/main.do) before visiting.

  • Completed Form MUST BE CERTIFIED by Korean Embassy personnel with a seal or stamp. Register your application with the required documents.
  • CIRCC is sensitive information by Private Act, certifying steps must be done
  • CIRCC will be ready in 2-4 weeks later after you registered. A diplomatic officer will contact you if your CRC is issued. Then, please visit a diplomatic office to pick up your CIRCC.
  • Issuance is only for the person registered.
